Himalayan Salt Lamp DIY!

Himalayan salt can do wonders for our bodies and purify the air we breathe. All you need is a cup of pink Himalayan salt and lukewarm water. Add some water to the cup of salt and carry on with your day! When Himalayan salt is heated and the water vapors it produces negative ions that neutralize any positive charge that may be carried in allergens, dirt and dust. No need to spend a ton of money on a Himalayan salt lamp when you can make your own! Producing these negative ions will help boost your mood and clear the air you breathe in.

    How often do you need to change the salt and water? Daily? Weekly?

      Once all the water has vapored you can change the salt and water!

      All you have to do is add some lukewarm water to the cup of Himalayan salt! Its as simple as that!

        Do I heat it once the salt and water are mixed? If so, what is the best way to heat? I’m thinking a low burner would be too much heat so maybe a heating pad?

          The Himalayan salt will heat itself by adding lukewarm water to it. You do not need to heat it anymore beyond this step!

    OMG, I’ve had Himalayan salt in my cupboard for about 3 months and just don’t use much salt. Every time I look at it, I think what a waste of money that was!     (April 25, 2017) I just watched you speak to the group at IIN (I’m currently in the course). One of my daughters, among other things, has struggled with depression (and ‘does not know why she feels so sad/down/depressed’ and feels ‘like she can’t get out of it’ – another issue has been really really low Vitamin D. She’s gone to a counselor – been on antidepressants – on high high doses of Vitamin D and still…
    She lives in CA – is 23 and I live in OH. She’s been told that her ‘amino acids might be off’ and should go see ‘doctor so and so’ – while I know you’re not a doctor, so much of what you said just hit me and I’m wondering how to best proceed with her? Any chance you’d be able to just give a starting point…thanks.
